LOL a junior just asked me what the ACCEPTANCE RATE of getting into Senior Men and Women is.....woe to the infested vocabulary of Arcadia students.....I better send this guy a glossy brochure and a Common Application and limit the essay to no more than 500 words.

Today kinda sucked as my friends in gov team were gone....hope the dramamine thing was of use..... I swear Uranga thinks I'm an idiot, as many other people probably do too. Well you know what? You're probably right! Out of a splurg of boolah I signed up to work the CAHSEE (pronounced ka-si by yo, aka California High School Exit Exam) presentation for smw. It's funny to see a third of the parents there confused, a third pissed about the possibility of their kids not graduating, a third who have no idea what the bald man in the suit is talking about in English, and all of the students cussing Young out secretly as a voodoo doll for more tests. Personally, I LOVE THE IDEA OF KA SI! Why? Cus I get to sleep in, go home early, and waste some more time, muah! I got the card to buy graduation stuff today....man we're gonna leave this place! It's probably harder for people who've spent all their lives with the same people in Arcadia as it is for me, but I think I'll still have a hard time saying goodbye. Personally, I think I have a lot of friends and acquaintences, but only very few real close friends, someone's mom once said it's hard to foster true longlasting friendship at Arcadia under the "you-in-mah-way-to-Harvard-I-kill-you" attitude, she was probably right. Not that I'm being cynical or anything, but the super close friends who scream and jump each other every time they see each other and again 10 minutes later strike me as somewhat pretensious, but then again, you know they're buddy-buddies. Anyways, even though I started out hating being dragged here, I really owe Arcadia a lot for making me who I am today. Today during the ka si presentation, I saw this lil freshman boy who just came from China and his mother sitting together, neither of which understood any word Young said, and I totally saw myself in the lil boy...dang....all these Asian parents think they can drag a kid here in 9th grade w/o any English and end up at Harvard...only to ruin the kids lives when they get stuck in the ef o bee groups and die their hair blonde and wear pants so baggy that you can't see their shoes. I've pictured my graduation many times already, and it gets more and more real every time and, I know its life that 80% of people you know today won't remember you 20 years from now, but still it's sad, this IS my world that I rebuilt after the first one got away, and now I gotta start again from scratch....hope it turns out well. wow I blabbed a lot today, gotta stop and get back to wasting time now. Its 9:00PM right now and I have not even opened my backpack. Ladies and gentleman, you have just witnessed senioritis severitis Exhibit A. Uranga is......ahem...different. I feel like a little freshman in her class. No food, no talking, no looking around, no slacking off. I actually have to WORK through the period! The last time I did that was.......I don't even remember. This is what I don't get about relationships, how do they reduce perfectly sane, dignified, and logical guys into robots constantly staring directly at their gf and saying "yes you're right" and "of course you're the best" to every word the gf says....not referring to anyone of course ;-)

Now, if you're in a computer store like Bestbuy or Office Depot or Staples and you're bored, go check out the digital camera section. There you can usually scroll through the camera's picture archives and see pictures of unwitting customers who took pictures of themselves and don't know how to delete it. One can find many funny faces in there, pensive, annoyed, surprised, confused, excited...

nothing much to blog today, cus nothing much happened. The weather is sooo perfect and I have no work for once, i want to go out but EVERYONE i call are either not home or busy. I feel like such a loner =( I think I'll go loaf around in my car w/o a destination for a while.... what's the difference between catsup and ketchup? |
