The little that goes on inside my head. My attempt to waste some time between wasting times.

I'm usually a pretty tolerant person, but people can be real bastards sometimes. argh! Some people are so eager to project a cool front that they let their occasional acts of "wuteva" become part of themselves and eventually it eats them up, rendering them apathetic fools. I still think Arcadia has these people because most ppl are so sheltered that they can get away with apathy and unfunny sarcasm. In college, no one's gonna take your shit, unless they're masochists, other than that they'd just go find someone who cares about things. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, just the trend i'm seeing on campus PISSES me off.

I think I've had more sleep in the past two days than all the sleep I got in the past two weeks combined. There's four or five different kinds of drugs in me and it makes me feel all oozy and fluzy.

Things you never knew you missed while at school:
1. Daytime TV!
2. Phone call from Miss Cleo herself!

Ok i tried to start a long list but i can't, there isn't much to miss if everyone else is at school and im the only one stuck home. I just wanted to bring up MIss Cleo's call =P

scratch what I said before about feeling fine. My throat is so swollen that I can't mutter a word and every time I swallow anything it feels like a rock shoved down my throat.
Just checked my email, this is from a current penn student talking about dorms

"the rooms are about the size of my current closet. Some of the doubles are a so small that if you are standing between the beds you have to turn sideways to let people pass."

lovely

I think today's the first time ever that I stayed home cus of sickness. My dad keeps insisting that my freshman year pneumonia is coming back so we ended up going to the doctor, find out nothing is wrong besides a fever and throat infection, and spending $70 on antibiotics. Down with HMO! I regret to say this but now that I'm actually home during a school day, I actually WANT to go to school. I think by now it's less do-work-take-tests but more of a see-friends-chat-hangout sorta thing.

Amazing what giving out your personal information and address online can do.
1. Yesterday I got a free Mach3 razor from Gillete, which somehow found out I just turned 18.
2. Today I got a letter from a life insurance company which begins, "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Leo Chang, Everyday, thousands of parents like you are choosing our service....." Did I miss something? I didn't know there was a Mrs. Leo Chang...and I'm a parent too? Wow this fever must have given me amnesia...

gotta go off now before my parents find out i went online when I'm supposed to stay in bed. signing off.

My 21 hour work day yesterday wasn't so bad. LA Marathon was really fun. I can proudly announce that hundreds of runners drank gatorade or water personally touched by my hand. Yes touched, as in I physically touched the gatorade and water with my hand. We were assigned to waterstation at mile 19, so before the runners came, we laid out all the empty cups nicely, mixed gallons of gatorade, and poured them into each cup nice and neat. see picture Then as the runners came in and devoured our reservoir, btw those people just crash into your waiting cup, grab it, spilling a lot over themselves and you, take a sip, and throw the rest of the gatorade and the cup randomly on the street. Anyways, after the bulk of the runners came in, we couldn't keep up with their demands by laying out cups, and a strong wind started to blow all the empty cups off the table. So I opened the top of the 7 gallon gatorade container and started scooping gatorade out with the cups and smashing them on the table. This way, every time I scooped, my hand delve in along with the cup, depositing micropieces of me into the drink. i AM the marathon!
I thought my job would end at 11, but I ended up getting home at 6PM, which pushed my chem-cram schedule all the way back to 1AM. But I did it and I think I did ok on the test today, but still not good enough to make up for my sub 50% test last time. (I did the calculation, I need a 120% on this test to make up for the last one)

Today I was done with yearbook stuff after fifth and was gonna go home, but something in my head kept telling me I needed to stay to get something done. This has been happening a lot lately, I get random pangs about things I think i should do but I don't know what the thing is. Perhaps as we approach graduation, there a lot of things I had wanted to do but didn't, and things that I should have done but didn't. Maybe they're coming back to me now in this hallucinationy kinda way. I'm definitely gonna regret doing some of the things I did and not doing some other things I didn't do. But everybody has a story like that. Everything is about balance, for everything you do, you must give up something else up. Hey I think that's economics! Which reminds me, I'm going to business school having only taken summer school econ! Am I screwed or am I screwed? Yes.

UC news (dammit why can't I just stop blogging) are coming in now. I'm happy for everybody who got in (congrats y'all!), but it's also a sad reminder that most of my friends will stay in this time zone while I loner-se (reflexive verb) 3 hours off. I'm sure I'll make new friends, but just knowing I'll be half a globe from all the people I know will be kinda hard at first. Sigh. Strength and Honour!

ok i'll shut up now
